I know you wish your locker was this inspiring...!

I went and stood in M hall for five whole juicy minutes, systematically opening and closing our locker's sqeaky clean door. Oh so carefully I plugged in the brilliant combination. The tick tick as I spun the knob around was music to my ears. With a most satisfying ka-CHANK our beautiful locker swung open. I admired the way the piercing sunlight from the window behind me glistened off of it's coppery insides. After taking note of the two handy shelves which shall be put to use of the utmost importance, I slammed the dear thing shut. Quickly my attention was arrested by the slits in the front, precisely the size of a well folded note! I thought of that note and couldn't help myself. What space in the locker would it take up once it had been shoved through? With a grin and a sigh of pleasure, I reached for the lock....
***This was originally a spur of the moment Facebook wall post to my best friend Julie.
She decided it was fitting to print it out, and actually tape it up in the locker. It's watched over us faithfully through our first semester of high school. Occasionally I glance at it while getting ready to rush off to class. My first reaction is to blush, check that no one is standing behind me, and then wonder how I could have ever written something so silly :)

I had an epiphany

My life is like a lamp.
I flick the switch over and over until my fingers bleed.
And only then do I realize that the light was unplugged all along.

I will tell you my obessesions...

-SHINY TOY GUNS
I got an iPod for Christmas, and had my cousin Danielle around to introduce me to new music.
I knew Le Disko by Shiny Toy Guns, but after listening to their other songs I realized it wasn't an accurate respresentation of what to expect. Their music is classified as Indie/Rock/ Electronica. I think they are unique and catchy, I can't stop playing it! On the side I put up my favorite ones by them in descending order. Check it out!

-SALT AND VINEGAR CHIPSIs that weird? I am so obsessed. I could eat them all day but... I don't. I love strong flavors and this definitely satisfies my cravings.

-WEDDINGS
Well, playing background music at weddings and business parties. I am working on designing my business card, and marketing myself. In this business it's really important to be known, and have good connections. I have the connections, but I'm still working on the visibility.

New Year's

Alright I'll admit it. Utah has better skiing than Alberta. But the multi-stake dance last night topped any one I've ever been to back home. It was the size of an EFY dance (hundreds and hundreds of people)-with better music. I went with my cousins Jeremy and Danielle their friends Tyler, Alex, Peter, Melissa, and Brooke. I didn't know anyone, but within an hour we were all comfortable enough to show off our best-and they were very terrible- dance moves. I met and danced with a lot of new people, and loved meeting all of them. It all ended at 12:30. We drove home and I said goodbye to my new friends Brooke and Melissa.
Oh but the night was still young...
I partied it up with Jer, Alex, Tyler, and Peter till 5:00! That is my personal record for late nights. We watched some movies, made a late night stop to 711, and ping ponged. Around 5:00 they all got sucked into Halo so I went upstairs and crashed in bed. I had so much fun, and it was a great start of the year!
